Oh there’s nothing quite like beautiful books, is there? I know they say not to judge a book by its cover but every time I see a stunning book, I can’t help but think that the story inside it is equally, if not more, stunning.
From floral designs to ornate hand lettering and glittering illustrations that catch the light, beloved stories become that much more treasured when they are bound by unique artistry.
Today I’m excited to share a selection of the most gorgeous blue book covers I’ve come across. Blue is such a serene color; I always find that displaying blue books gives the room a calming touch đź’™
The Prettiest Blue Book Covers
Adorned with illustrations reminiscent of childhood magic, this edition of The Secret Garden is perfectly whimsical!
Oh, Anne Shirley. She truly feels like a kindred spirit to us all! This gorgeous edition of Anne of Green Gables is illustrated by the talented Anna Bond of Rifle Paper Co. There are also coordinating editions of Little Women, Heidi, and The Little Princess!
The Wizard of Oz is a bookshelf-must, wouldn’t you say? This edition features Dorothy’s glittering red slippers, the Emerald City, and Toto too!
This leather bound Jane Austen compilation includes the classics: Sense and Sensibility, Pride and Prejudice, Mansfield Park, Emma, Northanger Abbey, Persuasion, and Lady Susan!
“You know that place between sleep and awake, that place where you still remember dreaming? That’s where I’ll always love you. That’s where I’ll be waiting.” – J.M. Barrie. This edition of Peter Pan is another Barnes & Noble collectible that is simply beautiful (the stars even shimmer!)
I can’t say enough wonderful things about this unique edition of Pride and Prejudice. Not only is the cover gorgeous, but the pages include photographs of beautiful teatime treats with accompanying recipes!
This cover is just as charming as the story beneath it. The Vintage Teacup Club tells the story of three women who fall in love with the same vintage tea set at an outdoor market in the English Countryside. They decide to share the tea set which sparks a special friendship amongst them.
The Blue Castle: one of L.M. Montgomery’s most beloved works. This 1989 edition is particularly romantic. You can typically find it on eBay and sometimes on antique store bookshelves!
